Why do they have to steal the blankets?

Published by josephnotjoe at 2:20 pm under Looking for the man Edit This

Lets see, there has been a lot going on. Friday I was free to do my own thing. That included laundry and exercise….I know how wild can you get. I went out for a bit, went to a couple of places, ran into some friends. Not a very busy night out, it was getting cold, I was sleepy so I headed home. Why not get a good nights rest?

About 11:30 I get a text from the new guy. Now keep in mind he was on a date with someone else Friday, so he was the last person I expected to hear from. He want’s to know where I am, I told him I was already in bed. He asked if could come over and I said I did not think his date would like that very much. He explained that it had just been dinner and he had already taken him home. We continue to trade messages for a bit and I said he could come over. It’s just seemed silly not to see him for a few minutes, he was right across the street.

So he came over, there was kissing I was tired and well one thing led to another and he spent the night. It started out fine, I was cold and I like a lot of blankets on top of me. He was warm and was laying on top of them. Perfect. Ambien and it was goodnight for me. I wake up around 3 am, on a corner of the bed I have never been on, freezing because I have this little scrap of blanket and you know who has like taken over my whole bed. Oh hell no. He sleeps like a rock after a bit of tug of war and me getting closer to him I got some of the blanket back.

Of course me getting closer to him just led to other things, so there was not a lot of sleep going on Friday night/Saturday morning. I am just not used to sharing my bed. I know it sounds crazy, but when it comes time to sleep, I really like to be left alone, I’ve always been that way. I’m a light sleeper, and sleep in general does not happen easy for me. But none of this was the end of the world, and these are all things that can be worked on.

The best part? He had to be at the gym, so he did not linger. After he left, I got right back in the bed and slept right in the middle of it for an hour. It was wonderful.

The rest of my Saturday turned out to be quite the day, but I think I will save that for the next post.
